I’m Shardia O’Connor, Founder and Creative Director of Shades of Reality, an independent media platform exploring human behaviour, identity, culture and leadership.
I’m curious about people, what shapes us and how our experiences influence the way we think, behave and see the world. Through real conversations, diverse perspectives and psychology-informed insights, I explore the things that often go unspoken, challenge assumptions and encourage people to look beyond the obvious.

Background
Shardia has over 20 years of experience across Mental Health, Education, Health and Social care, Retail and Leadership. She also holds a BA (Hons) in Young People, Families and Communities and currently and works directly with individuals and systems impacted by trauma, inequality, stigma, and institutional failure.
Shardia’s perspective is grounded in what happens when policies fail, narratives collapse, and people are left to deal with the consequences.
